For as long as there has been Life under the Sun, the Sun's cycles have directed the course of Life. People have been celebrating the spokes in this wheel of Life ever since...

It's a matter of spacetime: Spring up, Fall down,
to the rhythm of the Hoop.

The Hoop is Round.
The cycle of Life is completed once more during Sundown on this special moment in Time and Space when the Moon has no face and the concentrated Seed of Life turns to the Earth's nutritious, murky, dark womb, to regenerate.
Tranceforming the black earth to bloom in all colours on Belthane.

The ancient Celts started their new year with dark moon on this turning point in time.

They called it SAMHAIN.

Summer's end.

The Aztec's Day of the Dead.

The start of the dark half of the Hoop.

Now mostly known as Halloween after the church baptised it All-Saints, or All Halo's Eve one thousand years ago.

In this dark, moonless night the veil is lifted between this material world, and the Otherworld, allowing spirits, aliens, elves, fairies and other supernatural entities to pass between the worlds and socialize with humans.

This dark beginning seems a moment made for dark psytrance.

At 23:00 we open the Ceremony and begin our Journey...

- Mixsikh of the Golden Temple will resonate some mantra's and play some looney tunes from distant times and spaces.

This invention might finally stand life size in full synchronized Order with the Celtic tradition to present loved ones a so-called 'harvest love knot' made from the last harvest's reed, straw, or in this case: Bamboo & Aluminum!
Help needed thursday and friday to put it together & with preparation & decoration of dancefloor area & tipi build up + chaishop!!!

How to get to the Funny Farm?

Follow the Rainbow till you get to the Pot of Golden Pumpkinsoup:
Julius Joker is waiting at Oranjebaan - Amstelveen (stop for tram 5, metro 51 and bus 300) in his Rainbow coloured car, with room for three more passengers.

Route Description:

Best tip: With bike and public tranceport: You can take your bike in the metro 51 and then get out at Oranjebaan and cycle to the Funny Farm in 20 minutes.
Without bike by public transport: Take tram 5, or metro 51 from central station to Amstelveen, get out at Oranjebaan and walk for 50 min.
or: take the red bus number 300 from Bijlmer station (amsterdam zuid-oost) and get out in the village Ouderkerk aan de Amstel and then walk to the farm (40 min)

By bike or car all the way: Follow the Amstel river to the south until you see the sign "Ouderkerk aan de Amstel", then cross the river to the left over the bridge.
After the bridge turn right into the village. Go straight until the cafe. Turn right at cafe.

Important : Cross little bridge between the two big churches! (or else you take the Hoop the wrong way and add 17 km to your Quest)

Then follow signs "Rondehoep West" until you reach number 49
